Nadi James

The healing of the human body, mind, and soul have always been at the forefront of my passion and drive, in my own journey of personal development and during my later years in service for the journey of others.
While contemporary understandings of health and happiness often view these aspects of self separately, the more I delve in to holistic, embodied, and traditional models of healing the body-mind system, the more apparent it has become that it no longer serves us to view these key facets of self independently.
Moreover, it is the courage to sit with our inner world, allowing ourselves to see and be seen in our humaness, that has provided the potency for transformation for myself and those I have worked with.
Currently, I am working in Melbourne’s inner northern suburbs in mental health disability, as a Naturopath, yoga teacher and trauma-informed breathwork facilitator. As well as this, I am devoted to ongoing study and training in Naturopathy, traditional yoga philosophy and practice and participating in embodiment and self-development workshops, rituals, retreats and ceremonies, so I can continue to serve my clients in the highest order.
I offer a heart-centred, compassionate and grounded space to explore your inner world, where all of you is welcome.

FAQs

  • While restorative breathwork techniques are generally safe for most people the activated breathwork technique is not appropriate for all people. We will explore if you are a good breathwork candidate at this point in your life during the intake process. Your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual safety is paramount and will always be placed at the forefront of the decision making process.

  • Absolutely not! Breathwork practices can be viewed through many different lenses while still providing the same benefit. My sessions take in to account your own unique understanding of the world so that it will always feel relatable.

  • Naturopathy weaves the wisdoms of traditional medicine philosophy with contemporary, peer-reviewed strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for each patient.

  • Absolutely not! We all have to start somewhere and I offer plenty of modifications and variations to cater to multiple levels of experience. There is a strong emphasis on body autonomy in all of my classes where I encourage all of my students to drop in to the felt experience of the practice, which sometimes means taking lots of breaks and knowing your physical limits so that you can stay in the realm of feeling and breathing.

  • Yes! For those that are ready to go all in and want to work holistically with the body, mind and soul I have 3 and 6 month packages where we have ongoing breathwork journeys, Naturopathic medicine and self-paced yoga programs.

  • I offer both zoom or mobile session in the greater Melbourne region, that’s right I can come to you!

  • I offer both in person and online sessions for both breathwork and yoga which are just as effective as in person sessions.
Once you apply and we decide that we are a good fit for one another we can tailor which method is best for you.
